Jailbreak iOS 6.1 Beta 2 Using Redsn0w 0.9.15b3

This post is for developers only. So if you’re a developer, go and you will enjoy with jailbreaking the new released or version iOS 6.1 beta 2 from Apple. The new one was released today. The Video tutorial above made by idownloadblog shows how to jailbreak the iOS 6.1 beta 2 if you happen to be a developer.


But before you start you have to remember that it is a tethered jailbreak and it is for devolpers only.



Now to the steps:

Step 0: Ensure you have iOS 6.0 available for your device on your computer, if not, download the iOS 6.0 firmware file for your specific device from HERE.

Step 1: Called step of developer . So you have to know how to download iOS 6.1 beta 2.

Step 2: Install the iOS 6.1 beta 2.

Step 3: Download the redsn0w 0.9.15b3 for your device from HERE.

Step 4: Connect your iOS device to your computer.

Step 5: Put your iOS device into DFU mode.

Step 6: Open RedSn0w and ensure it recognizes your device at the bottom of the screen as being in DFU mode.

Step 7: Extras > Select IPSW > Point to the iOS 6.0 firmware file.

Step 8: On the main page of RedSn0w, click Jailbreak.

Step 9: Wait till the jailbreak process complete and the ensure that “Install Cydia” is checked, and click Next to proceed with the jailbreak process [Option Screeen].

Step 10: Once the jailbreak is complete, you should be on your [Lock Screen].

Step 11: Place your iOS device back into DFU mode.

Step 12: Go back to the Extras > Select IPSW > and reselect the iOS 6.0 firmware file again. You must select this firmware file again on beta jailbreaks, or else you will get a failure message.

Step 13: Click Just boot to perform a tethered boot.

Step 14: You should see a pineapple logo on your device’s screen after a while, as the device boots up.

Step 15: Once the device is booted, swipe to the Home screen’s second page, and wait until the Cydia app icon appears on the page.
